Thailand On Our Way Again!

It does not feel like its been 12 months since our last visit to Thailand, but it is very exciting to be on our way once again. Our friend Mark was happy to help us to the airport for our 2pm departure. We decided to arrive a little earlier the usual, and we were rewarded with a move in our seat allocation to the front of economy with a spare seat between us. Awesome, Thanks Thai-airways!

Our flight was uneventful and we were happy to land on time in Bangkok at 8pm. It is reassuring when you have been to a place before on knowing the way through the hallways and zones. On leaving the airport we headed for a taxi to take us into Bangkok. It felt good to be checking into hotel and taking in the night view of the city. I headed out to pick up some local supplies from the 7-11.

Even with a 3 hour time difference to Australia, we both rose early to start our adventure. So after a quick shower, we headed off to the street markets for breakfast. Its great fun wandering the stores eating what just looks good and much of the time not knowing what you have just tasted. Such a Yummy breakfast.

So the plan for today was to simply walk towards a temple in the distance and see what adventure and sites we see along the way. By the end of the day we had complete close to 20kms and seen some amazing sites.

Last event for the day (and what we both have been eagerly awaiting) was a catchup with Neil and Connie for dinner at their hotel. What and awesome evening and the food here is nothing short of spectacular. How spoilt we felt with great company and yummy food. The boys looked so spiffy in their matching shirts. Thanks guys for such a wonderful spoiling.
