Day 219 – 7 Oct 2015
Left camp around 7.35am headed for the Barcoo River. First stop for the day was the Middleton Hotel for a few quick photos of the Hotel around 1pm. Went through Winton around 3.30pm before fuelling up at Longreach. As dusk set in, it was obvious this is the killing fields for native wildlife, in particular kangaroos. After avoiding many many kangaroos for house, we setup camp on Barcoo River at 9.15pm.
Day 220 – 8 Oct 2015
Left camp around 6.43am for a long days drive to Brisbane. We travelled through Tambo, Augathella, Morven, Roma, Miles, Chinchilla, Dalby, Jondaryan, Oakey and Toowoomba. Travelling through Toowoomba – was like peak hour – cars and trucks whizzing around everywhere.
Arrived home 7:30pm
What a wonderful trip.
