Photographs from Epenarra Station 2021
When the latest Covid-19 scare hit the nation, it was the Northern Territory’s turn to feel the pinch. With Darwin and Alice Springs sorting out their own kerfuffle, we opted to be good citizens and stay rooted close to home. Instead of fretting about the chaos, we embraced a peaceful 10-day retreat at Epenarra Station—a true slice of outback bliss.
Nestled on the edge of the iconic Woodenjerrie Waterhole, Epenarra Station offered us a welcome escape from the daily buzz. We spent lazy mornings and sun-drenched afternoons watching the cows amble gracefully by, their gentle pace perfectly reflecting the relaxed tempo of country life. Each moment unfolding before our eyes was a reminder of how stunning the outback can be, and we couldn’t help but capture it all on camera.
Adding to the charm was the station’s well-stocked shop, conveniently close by to keep all our supplies topped up. Big shout-out to Margo and her cracking team, who work tirelessly to keep the place ticking over. Their genuine, warm-hearted service and a hearty dash of country hospitality made us feel right at home, turning even a simple pit stop into an uplifting experience.
Over the course of our stay, we soaked up the breathtaking scenery and the friendly local spirit, and now we’re thrilled to share a gallery of our favourite snaps from this unforgettable journey. So, grab a cuppa, sit back, and let these photos transport you to the heart of Epenarra Station, where the outback lives on in every sunlit moment and gentle breeze.
