Finke Desert Race 2022 The Finish

Photographs from Finke Desert Race 2022

As the sun sets and the dust settles, the Finke Desert Race 2022 is over for another year. It was a truly incredible event, with some of the best riders and drivers in the world competing in some of the most challenging conditions imaginable.

The race started in Alice Springs and finished in Finke, a small town in the Northern Territory. The course was 680 kilometers long, and it took the riders and drivers two days to complete.

The conditions were tough, with temperatures soaring above 40 degrees Celsius and the wind whipping up dust storms. But the riders and drivers persevered, and they put on a show for the spectators that was truly unforgettable.

In the end, it was Toby Price who won the bike race, and David Walsh who won the car race. Both riders and drivers put in incredible performances, and they deserve all the credit in the world for their victories.

The Finke Desert Race is a truly unique event, and it’s one of the most popular sporting events in Australia. It’s a test of endurance, skill, and determination, and it’s an event that will be remembered for years to come.

We’ll slowly process the 4,000 odd photos as we get time in our travels. We’re so proud of everyone who took part in this year’s race, and we can’t wait to see what happens next year.
