Nambung Country Music Muster 2019

The dunes were alive with the sounds of people having fun. Nambung Station (just 200kms north of Perth), nestled along side Western Australia’s world famous Pinnacles saw the annual influx of country music lovers from around Australia. This event has quickly grown as a favourite amongst the country music community. What’s not to love? 4 days camping with music, poetry and dancing. Additionally, you got a good feeling of knowing you are helping charities. This year 2019, Nambung’s raise $18,000 for the following nominated charities:

  • Anglicare – Street Connect Project
  • Children’s Cancer & Leukaemia Research WA
  • Make a Wish Albany
  • A Moora Charity ( to be decided)
  • Cervantes Men’s Shed
  • Cervantes Swimming Pontoon Fund
  • Cervantes Historical Society
  • Royal Flying Doctor Service

This year’s featured artists include country singer/songwriter Brian Letton, Sandie “Dolly Parton“ Dodd, New Zealand born Marie Hodson, Banjo maestro Ian Simpson and Grammy winner steel guitar extraordinaire Lucky Ocean

The Cervantes CWA were popular with their scones, jam and cream and the Cervantes Men’s Shed cooked up a storm of eggs and bacon for the Poet’s Breakfast on the Sunday morning.

The Cervantes St John’s Ambulance were in attendance with sunscreen and first aid advice to keep everyone safe and healthy.
