Wildflowers

WA’s Wildflowers

15 September 2016

Early start today as we headed further south. Came across a cool breakaway only 20kms into the journey and this is as far as we got today. We then caught up with some photo editing before doing a walk around the top.

Decided it was time to make a decent distance today, arriving in Murchison where we took on 40l of diesel. We did stop for ½ hour to try and get some photos of some wedgetail eagles, but the crafty birds stayed well away from the roadkill whilst we were there. Eventually we camped just north of Mullewa, in the heart of wildflower territory.

An early start is getting harder, the more we head south with the minimum temperate down to 5c. Daily maximum is also down from the 32c a few weeks ago, to just 20c. Arriving in Mullewa just before 9am we found as much details on the locations of the current seasons wildflowers.

From Mullewa we headed onto Coalseam National Park for lunch. The wildflowers here are just passed their best, but nevertheless are still very beautiful.
