A decision today to take a short cut through the tracks of the high country was certainly interesting. The first 30 kms of the 90km short cut was quick. The next 60kms was had work. We scrambled up tracks and down very steep inclines for the next 8 hours. So much for a short cut. After leaving Bright at about 8am we arrived at Craig’s Hut at 5pm. A fun but tiring drive. The sunset at Craig’s Hut also was disappointing as the cloud came in just on dusk. Oh well there is always tomorrow.

Rest day photographing Craig’s Hut. The morning started off interesting with thick cloud covering the mountain and the hut. During the day this cleared to mostly sunny.
