The last week or so it has been a lazy experience, overlooking the beach and watching the tides around Broome. The many days of 36 degree heat and cloudless sky (since our visit to Yulara) finally finished with 30mm of rain. This really added a mud element for the drive back to Broome for supplies before we headed south for Eighty Mile Beach.
On arrival back in Broome it was straight off to the car wash before the mud soaked in and we had a mess that would not clean up. Then it was off to the supermarket and then the service station. By 11am we were headed south for the trip which takes us through the edge of the Great Sandy Desert and to a huge wide beach. The popularity of Eighty Mile Beach has certainly changed since we were here last, but its beauty has not. The beach is wide, white and smothered in shells. The weather is so perfect here that one can only celebrate with a BBQ at Eighty Mile.

Turns out Wednesdays is burger and chips night at the caravan park, thank you Anne and Ross for putting us on this. So 5pm we had our burger and chips and we headed back to the beach to watch the sunset. We joined Anne and Ross for a lovely evening.

Met a couple of tourists from Switzerland, Ursula and Barbara. They were loving 80 Mile Beach and really enjoying their trip to Australia.
