Gostwyck Chapel a Photographers Dream
Only a few kilometres from Uralla is the spectacular Gostwyck Chapel. The chapel was built in 1921 in memory of Clive Collingwood Dangar (1882-1918) by Mr Roberts. Today 200 mature elm trees line the approaches to the Chapel. These turn a golden brown each Easter totally transforming the location. The Chapel itself is covered by Virginia creeper that turns a brilliant red each year. Officially known as ‘All Saints Anglican Church’ it is one of those must stop and take a look locations. The chapel sits besides the Salisbury Waters which has a large wooden bridge that crosses it. This bridge is heritage listed. Over the years we like to stop and see what state the beautiful setting is in. Sadly, this area does flood at times and the church does get inundated.
