Wandering Around Nowendoc Hills

Today we just wandered along the dirty roads to the hills around Nowendoc. At one point we could not decide if we should be driving on the tracks off to the south, so we stopped for some help. Before we knew it we were having coffee with a local family who were giving us all the good directions on which way to head. Back on the track we were headed up some great fire trails high into the mountains. Eventually. We lucked on a bush camp with excellent views. Also being a clear afternoon / night Alison was excited to try out some star trail photos using 4WDAUS as the foreground.

Today we headed further north towards Blue Knob. To our amazement, the views which were distant and glorious were soon replaced with cloud and fog. Being at 1,014m one can sure escape the heat. We decided to camp for the night and enjoy the cool change.
